The thermostatic cell is used for heating and maintaining body temperature of medical fluids for diagnostic and therapeutic use. The Warm-MB can be used for fluids contained in glass or plastic bottles, or in soft plastic bags.
The thermostatic cell is heated using electrical resistance combined with forced air ventilation, operating at 220 VAC, 50Hz and just 300 Watts. The device is made entirely of stainless steel both internally and externally, so it can be cleaned completely with normal cloths using ordinary detergents and disinfectants.
A PID (proportional, integral, derived) corrective control system maximizes performance and sensitivity to disturbances such as ambient air temperature, container sizes and incoming container temperatures. In order to prepare the fluid for ready use at the required time, the device is provided with a special user-programmable timer that automatically switches on the device at a pre-set time.
The device is also provided with a signal which can be viewed on the display and indicates when the temperature has been reached: a “READY” message appears.
