See more Iomeron combines the contrast effect with the highest iodine concentration of all non-ionic contrast media (400mg I/ml) (1-4*).

The high concentration of iodine produces several visible advantages

Clear image reproduction You get extremely clear diagnostic image reproduction of vessels and body cavities (1-4*). This means that you can always make a certain diagnosis and ensure that your patients receive optimal treatment. This high iodine concentration is made possible by the fact that Iomeron is extremely water-soluble. (In experiments Iomeron can be produced with concentrations over 600 mg I/ml).

Higher iodine administration is advantageous for:

  • Fast MDCT machines
  • Image enhancement for CT angiography, particularly for patients with a low enhancement response due to reduced cardiac output (12-13*)
  • Enhancement of hepatic arteries for CT, in order to better detect and assess hypervascular hepatic lesions (14*)
  • Perfusion studies of organs (15-16*)

Iomeron is a monomeric non-ionic low-osmolar tri-iodinated contrast medium with low viscosity (1-3**). Iomeron easily fulfils any requirements that may be imposed for a modern contrast medium and also offers a number of improvements compared with other contrast media, which makes Iomeron an excellent choice for radiological diagnostics.

Iomeron has the lowest osmolality and viscosity of the available tri-iodinated non-ionic contrast media (1-3, 8**).

Iomeron is also the only contrast medium available in the concentration 400 mg I/ml (4**). Iomeron is also obtained by means of environment-friendly synthesis (1,29**). The combination of lowest osmolality, lowest viscosity, high water-solubility and the absence of EDTA gives Iomeron a completely unique position, which results in few side effects with regard to physical/chemical properties.
